In our first project for Modem Media, the assignment was to translate the text and images in the SkyMiles® section of the Delta Air Lines site to South American Spanish and Portuguese. Next, we used the Weblations Workspace® to distribute our translation to Delta's field offices in eight South American countries, where the in-country marketing teams localized the content to reflect their precise needs. Finally, we performed a multilingual quality control on the field offices' material, and used Cypher® to produce the localized, country-specific HTML pages. An example of close teamwork between the interactive agency, the end client and ourselves, in which we provided the necessary multi-lingual tools.
Six months later, we updated the site that we had first translated. Through Cypher Version Control and Cypher Memory, we re-used the original translation to ensure consistency and to save the client time and money.
