Do-it-yourself website localization?
Have you been thinking of using freelance translators to localize your website? The temptation can be great, since freelancers can cost half as much as translation agencies. Before you do so, though, check out my interview Web Site Localization for the Freelance Translator at the Translation Zone, where I run through the difficulties involved. (You'll need to log in to the Translation Zone to gain access to the article.) What's new at weblations.com We continue to improve our own site to explain how we deliver a rapid, turnkey solution of exceptionally high quality based on our tools Cypher® and the Workspace®. This month we added an interactive flowchart that illustrates the Weblations workflow, starting with your first contact with us and ending with ongoing maintenance of your translated website. We also added a guided tour for those busy mortals who need to know what we do in a nutshell. This tour will be available in Spanish, Catalan, French, German and Japanese. 265 Projects and counting... Meanwhile, back in the shop we are working on website project Nº 265. That represents a heck of a lot of web localization experience -- many times more website projects than any competitor has produced. Why not take advantage of the breadth of our technical and linguistic background? Contact us to discuss your upcoming needs, or go directly to our quotation form. President, Weblations
